DETC New Student & Graduate Letters

The Commission has created a series of letters, in English and Spanish, designed to provide useful information for students and graduates of DETC-accredited institutions.

NEW STUDENT LETTER

The  DETC New Student Letter extends the Commission’s congratulations to newly enrolled students on their decision to advance their education at an DETC-accredited institution, explains what accreditation means, and provides information on the role that DETC plays in supporting and enhancing the student’s educational experience. DETC -accredited institutions are encouraged to incorporate this letter with any existing guidance packet that is provided to new students.


The DETC Letter to the New Student extends congratulations on behalf of the Commission to new students on their decision to advance their education at an DETC-accredited institution, explains the meaning of the accreditation, and provides information on the role that DETC plays in the support and improvement of the educational experience of the students. DETC encourages its member institutions to incorporate this letter with any existing guidance package that is provided to new students.


GRADUATION LETTER

The DETC Graduation Letter extends the Commission’s sincere congratulations to graduates on the successful completion of their studies at an DETC-accredited institution and reminded graduates to keep in touch with the institution as a means to provide feedback regarding the educational program, the graduate’s success in the workplace, or any need for assistance in securing employment. DETC-accredited institutions are encouraged to include this letter with any graduation packet this is provided to students.


The DETC Letter to Graduates extends heartfelt congratulations from the Commission to graduates on the successful completion of their studies at an DETC accredited institution and reminds graduates to stay in touch with the institution as a means to provide information regarding the educational program, the success of graduates in the workplace, or any need for assistance in obtaining employment. DETC encourages its member institutions to include this letter with any graduation pack designed for students.
